RACE SATURDAY 15th JULY 2006. RESULTS BELOW, REPORT TO FOLLOW!
QUALIFYING
The session was red flagged on the 3rd lap following Chris Palmers X300 running wide and flipping over at Clearways/Clark Curve. Problem being that the car entered the gravel trap sideways which inevetbly ends in a roll due to the tyres digging in with the momentun at 90 degrees to the direction the tyres normally travel!
The roll was pretty slow, but we were all releived to see Chris emerge unscathed, but probably pretty fed up with the mistake! Despite all this he qualified 21st and went on to race in both the Saloons and PBJ! MORE TO FOLLOW!
The long wait to go out for qualifying is nearly over, as the last cars from the previous session return to the Paddock.
.
Pic 1 Bob Lines in his D Type ahead of John Hassell making a rare appearance in 2006 with John Lock close behind. Pic 2 John Rutter in his Hawk HF3000 Stratos didnt make the race!
Eric Falce in the yellow D type ahead of Graham Paddick in the Kougar & Ken Paton in the familiar white & red D Type
Nice to see a Cobra on the track, & pretty nifty! Next is Simon Seath having sorted the problem that made the brakes catch fire during the earlier XJS qualifying session!

Everyone was pleased to see Chris Palmer emerge from the overturned X300 unscathed!
