SOILMEC JEC SALOON CHALLENGE
As usual
there was plenty of close action throughout the grid. Simon Garrad made
a brilliant start from 4th on the grid to 1st, and stayed there till the
flag. At the other end of the grid Andrew Jeffery had a poor start following
a good qualifying session. Andrew dropped back to 17th, but managed to recover
to 15th at the end.
Chris Palmer also had a bad
first lap, slipping back to 11th, but eventually recovered back to his original
9th place. Robert Drewery was another good starter, making up 5 places,
but was unable to match the pace of John Slater the next cat up the track.
Peter Dorlin, Neil Taylor,
& Chris Palmer became inseperable from lap 3, bumper to bumper action,
but none able to pass the other, finishing with less than a second between
them!
